NOAA Costal Services Center Funding Information

NOAA issues an Omnibus describing competitive funding opportunities for special projects typically around every June and December. The Center usually includes a notice in the June announcement and sometimes in the December announcement. The official Omnibus is published in the “Federal Register” and all detailed federal funding opportunities are posted on Grants.gov

Brownfields Economic Development Initiative

The DALMAC Fund

Established in 1975, The DALMAC Fund made its first contribution to bicycling in Michigan by donating a tandem bicycle to Lansing’s St. Vincent Home for Children in 1976. This was a modest start toward realizing the vision of Dick Allen, the originator of DALMAC. Since then, DALMAC’s success has allowed the Fund to grant over $500,000 to a variety of bicycling activities in Michigan ranging from safety and education programs to bicycle trail development.

The Kodak American Greenways Awards Program

Eastman Kodak, The Conservation Fund, and the National Geographic Society provide small grants to stimulate the planning and design of greenways in communities throughout America. The annual grants program was instituted in response to the President’s Commission on Americans Outdoors recommendation to establish a national network of greenways. Made possible by a generous grant from Eastman Kodak, the program also honors groups and individuals whose ingenuity and creativity foster the creation of greenways.
